UPDATE: According to the Gwinnett County Jail Bryson Bryant was actually arrested on March 7, 2010 and his bond  is $1,073.00 and an additional fee for the 13 citations. Why hasn’t Nene gotten her son out?

Previous: We just got news from an inside source that Nene Leakes of The Atlanta Housewives son Bryson Bryant has been arrested for possession of drugs. He is the eldest of Nene’s two sons, was charged with possession of less 1 oz. of marijuana and failure to appear.

He is in currently being held in the Gwinnett County Detention Center.

Okay,  if you don’t know or haven’t heard that Hip-Hop Celebrity attorney Ms. Phaedra Parks, who is known for representing and co-producing Tiny and Toya’s Bet Reality Show, is rumored to be added to The Real Housewives of Atlanta this coming season.

The scoop is… and we got the “REAL SCOOP” here at GB.com!  We were told by an insider that Ms. Parks is definitely on the show and is bringing the heat with her. Sources say that Ms. Parks can’t stand new cast mate Kandi  and will be making it known on the show. This hate for Kandi has been going on for years. Ms. Phaedra “The Phoenix” Parks will be blowing the lid off of Nene and Kim’s old Stripping past. She is ready to tell what, when, where and how they stripped.  It sounds like this season is going to be soooo crazy!  I don’t know if Ms. Parks is really ready for what she’s about to do and if the ladies of RHOAare ready.  It may just bite her in the ass, since the word in the streets is that she married a low down dirty unemployed ex-con to get on the show in the first place!

Sources have also said that Ms. Parks has a shady past as well and is known by a lot of industry people as an “industry hoe”. She has supposedly slept with or dated most rappers we all know.  Hush Yo Mouth we not sayin names!  Somebody say HELL YEAH! It’s gettin hot in herrre! This part is a rumor and we have not confirmed this “industry hoe” claim.

Well, you know karma is a bitch and I hope that if Ms. Parks’ strategy is to hurt the RHOA ladies to get a name for herself  that she can handle the heat.  Can she make or break the RHOA Ladies? Will the RHOA ladies unite against her and take her down? What do you think?

This slow talking slow thinking and slow moving new rapper Waka Flacka Flame is in physical altercations for the most of 2010…what is going on with him. Last night he did a concert for teens and it ended in  major shootout…!

According to AJC: “The shooting occurred in the parking lot of World of Skates in Gary, where Waka Flocka Flame, aka Juaqin Malphurs, had just performed.

The victims were taken to three hospitals, where some remained Saturday. Police say they ranged in age from 14 to 18, with wounds in the legs, wrist, stomach or back. The injuries weren’t believed to be life-threatening.

The Post-Tribune newspaper reported that a “hype man” entertaining the crowd before Waka Flocka Flame took the stage pitted “East Side” versus “West Side.” That might have prompted the shooting, Cmdr. Michael Mallett told the newspaper.

“The kids have separated themselves into east and west sides,” he said. “They’ve been doing it for many years now, but it’s gotten worse, especially when you have entertainers making references to East Side vs. West Side. The youth in our community have taken it to heart.”

Someone opened fire as a group of about 200 teens waited in the parking lot for rides. One victim told police he was shot in the stomach by a black man with dreadlocks who was wearing a red hat, the newspaper reported.

Police have made no arrests in the Friday night shootings.

A day earlier, Malphurs was involved in a fight in downtown Atlanta between groups affiliated with rappers Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy. A security guard employed by Malphurs was detained. Malphurs, a member of Gucci Mane’s 1017 Brick Squad, had a swollen eye afterward.

Shots were fired during the altercation at Walter’s Clothing, but no one was hit.

In January, Malphurs was shot in the arm while washing his car on Old National Highway. Police said he was approached by armed men demanding his jewelry.”

I’m not an animal rights activist,member of  Peta, or anything of that sort. I’m just not that intense about the animals. But, after seeing this video it gave me second thoughts about taking my kids to the circus. My 4 year-old loves elephants, but he loves seeing them on the internet just as much. I hate that I’ve contributed to an organization that would treat animals this way. I am an elephant lover and this video breaks my heart. After watching this footage I am filled with guilt and outrage. I share this video with you, not to make choices for you. But, to open your eyes to a fact that I was not aware. And that is, these animals are being abused for our 2 minute amusement. No more circuses for this family. We’ll stick to the animal free amusement parks.

Per tmz.com Child protective services were called out to Katherine Jackson’s home.  Apparently, Jermaine Jackson’s bad ass son, 13 year-old Jaafar, ordered a stun gun off the interent.  The adults in the house say the gun was intercepted by security and put away by Katherine.  Well, kids being kids found the gun and tried to use it on poor little Blanket.  Luckily, security was on their job again and heard the gun.  Once again they took the gun from the kids.  It’s not clear how DCFS became involved.  But, they came out and took the gun with them.  They will return to interview the children and more staff m members today.

Paris Fashion Week 2010

This time Naomi is accused of beating her driver while he was driving her through Manhattan.  The driver was treated for bruises and neck pains.  No assault charges have been filed against the Diva.  However, the driver says he may pursue a civil court case against her.  There has been no word from Campbell at this time.  Obviously her anger management classes didn’t work.  Perhaps, if somebody defended themselves against her and punched her ass in the face she would think twice about hitting people.  

They can buy her high priced pumps, but they can’t buy this chick an ounce of class!

The baby’s name is Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr. and he weighed in at 7lbs. 3oz. 

 ”Both mother and baby are doing great,” says Cole’s publicist, Tresa Sanders. “Keyshia would also like to give a special thank-you to her fans that have been with her since the beginning, sharing in her growth as a woman and an artist.” 

A big congrats goes out to Keyshia Cole. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Per Monica, both Mother and Son are doing fine. No name or photos have been released yet.

The lucky S.O.B was on his way to the court house to receive his sentencing and head for jail. In route to the courthouse his lawyer received a call that the courthouse was on fire, yes on fire and the court date would be postponed. Later that night, he suprised fans at a concert and tore the stage up. (By yelling rap standards)

Lil Wayne is officially off to jail today.  He is set to turn himself in for a one year sentence in New York.  His original sentence was delayed, so he could get the bling out of his mouth.  Maybe he will luck up and get out early like T.I.  Good luck Wayne! Hopefully, this will motivate you to keep you nose clean when you get out of there!  You have a lot of kids people depending on you out here!

I am personally sick of hearing about the Michael Jackson death and the case of Dr. Conrad who caused his death. I fault both MJ and the Dr. because they’re both adults and new what they were doing was wrong. Get over it they both are paying a price for their wrong actions unfortunately Mj is dead but just put the doctor away as he’s the enabler and be done with it already! DAMN!

Mj was not “Murdered” if you want to get technical he almost committed suicide by instructing this doctor to inject him with this crazy drug. Face it people he was sick and unhappy and hopefully now he’s found peace…as for the Dr. Evil…he’s gotta suffer here on earth and he owes the piper for his wrong-doing.

“Sources tell us, years before Brittany was married she wrote a holographic (handwritten) will, leaving everything to her mom. The will was stored in her manager’s safe.

Brittany’s husband, Simon Monjack, told TMZ after they got married Brittany had a formal will drafted, along with a trust. Simon tells us all of her assets under the new will and trust go to Sharon.

Simon tells us, at his request, the will specifically says, “I am married to Simon Monjack who I have intentionally left out of this will.”

“Rapper Guru is reported to be in a coma after suffering a heart attack yesterday (Sunday 28 February). The 43-year-old is set to undergo surgery today at a hospital in New York.

The rapper’s condition was confirmed by DJ Premier, his partner in the seminal hip-hop group Gang Starr, in a phonecall to radio show Hip Hop Nation yesterday. He is reported as ssaying: “Guru is in a coma and will go under surgery tomorrow afternoon.”

Guru, born Keith Alam, rose to prominence as an MC in the 80s. Known for his distinctive voice and intelligent rhymes, he released a string of hits with Gang Starr, including Words I Manifest, Just to Get Rep and Full Clip.

The duo were reportedly on indefinite hiatus after 2003 album The Ownerz, with Guru and DJ Premier giving conflicting messages about their future. However, Guru recently hinted on Twitter that he and DJ Premier were set to release new Gang Starr material imminently.

Guru is best known for his work on Jazzmatazz, a hip-hop and jazz fusion project that has yielded four albums and numerous tours. The group’s booking agent confirmed that a number of forthcoming Jazzmatazz live dates have now been put on hold.”

ESSENCE.COM: Nice to hear from you. You’ve laid low since all the hoopla surrounding your marriage to Turks and Caicos Premier Michael Misick. How have you been holding up?
LISARAYE McCOY-MISICK: Why is it that people don’t embrace one another when we’re going through a tough time? Some of the things I read about me were so wrong and hurtful, but I am fine. It’s okay to move forward because things happen. Does it hurt? Yes. Am I disappointed? Incredibly. But this too shall pass.

ESSENCE.COM: Is it difficult to go through rough times publicly, especially with a spouse.
LISARAYE: Yes. There is a law in Turks and Caicos that you must remain married for three years before you begin any kind of divorce proceedings. If you want to get a divorce before that you have to be able to prove certain things that will grant you the right to do so.

ESSENCE.COM: What evidence did you provide that helped you in your case?
LISARAYE: I can’t be specific right now. I will say that there are things that happen within a marriage which can disrespect the union and actions can be taken against those things. As an actress, I have put myself out there as an independent Black woman, a single mom, a go-getter, a hustler who isn’t afraid to survive. If you get with a man who goes against who you are or what you believe in, people who know you begin to say, “Hey, that’s not the LisaRaye I know.” As his wife, my name has been associated with things that I have nothing to do with, and I have to fight to clear my name.

ESSENCE.COM: When you say you have to “fight for your name” are you referring to the British investigation into the government of Turks and Caicos and its leader, your estranged husband?
LISARAYE: Yes. I have been summoned to the hearing for questioning from the commission regarding the corruption inquiry into my husband’s government.

ESSENCE.COM: Do you believe your husband is innocent or guilty of those allegations?
LISARAYE: That’s not for me to decide.

ESSENCE.COM: Do you think that you and your husband could have avoided such a public war?
LISARAYE: Honestly, I hoped our divorce could be amicable. I’m saying to him, “Let’s get it over with so we can move on with our lives. It’s not fair to keep me involved in all this mess that I know nothing about… I’m human and enough is enough.” I’m going through some things, but I’ve been quiet and haven’t spoken to my country. I was trying to bow out gracefully, but after a while the Southside [of Chicago] had to come forward and finally say, “Hold on! Wait a minute!”

ESSENCE.COM: Many balked at your whirlwind romance and marriage and accused you of being an opportunist. How do you feel about that assessment of your character?
LISARAYE: First of all, I’m a fan of love and partnership. I would say this to my critics: If a man comes to you there obviously has to be a connection. I had a man who’s smart and powerful and who I fell in love with. He’s embracing my family. Add the fact that I have an opportunity to bring tourism to his country and be involved in something historical. Who in the hell would say no? But what scared me was the idea of being First Lady?

ESSENCE.COM: What frightened you about assuming that role?
LISARAYE: I knew nothing about being a First Lady or politics. I’m thinking, What am I going to have to change? I’m on a successful sitcom, my daughter is in high school and I’m the breadwinner. What am I going to do? Then Prince Charming comes my way and I’m saying, “God, did You send this man to me to take me away like Calgon?”

ESSENCE.COM: Was it difficult making the transition from Hollywood to a small island?
LISARAYE: I have a responsibility to LisaRaye the actress, the host, the motivating speaker, the mother, the model. That woman is still me. However, I understood that I had taken on this other responsibility to the countrymen and women of Turks and Caicos. I stepped into this position as the country’s First Lady, and I will admit I was scared, because I’m an American girl, a city girl who is used to the lights, camera, and action. I knew nothing about being a politician’s wife or First Lady. In Hollywood, we don’t sell sugar and coffee; we sell the sand, the sea and the stars. Everything in Turks and Caicos is different—culturally, geographically and even the style of dress. It wasn’t easy leaving my family and friends behind to come to a country where I know no one except my husband. There was no protocol person or committee to teach me what my role should be nor did anyone tell me, “This is what we expect of you.”

ESSENCE.COM: In retrospect, do you think you sacrificed too much as the First Lady of Turks and Caicos?
LISARAYE: I feel like I gave up too much of myself and compromised a bit too much. I felt like I wasn’t involved enough. I went to the country and wanted to handle those things that I knew, like helping to increase tourism, because I know a lot of people, creating the film festival—those kinds of things. Perhaps I could have been more proactive, more vocal or maybe I should have had him talk to me more about his political stand. A lot of times I was learning about my husband’s political stance while I’m sitting in an audience listening with everyone else.

ESSENCE.COM: Bloggers have often said that you’re too “ghetto” to be a First Lady. How does that make you feel?
LISARAYE: I am not and never grew up in the ghetto. People need to get it right. I grew up on the Southside of Chicago. What people don’t realize is that my father was a multimillionaire who owned 12 hotels, motels, a steel mill, a radio station, a club, nursing home, and a law office. So I think it’s safe to say I’m a little above middle class and I’m a daddy’s girl. I make no apologies for loving the finer things in life or the men I choose to date. I don’t feel bad about the person I am. Now, I do have an edge, rawness and realness, and I can tell you I’m going to keep that. I’m one of those women who’s not to be messed with. I’m very opinionated and boisterous at times. I’m also kind and humble. I know when to fold and when to hold and that’s important. If my edge scares you, then you have a choice to remove yourself. Other than that, I’m very approachable, and when people meet me they always say, “You are so down to earth and nothing like I thought you were.”

ESSENCE.COM: Some people will wonder why you chose to speak out now.
LISARAYE: I could have talked a long time ago and been pouring salt on my husband, but that’s not my style. He has enough he’s dealing with. I was trying to bow out gracefully, but I couldn’t take it any more. I want to let my people who care about me know what’s going on. I have never been that type of celebrity where folks are following me and care what’s going on in my personal life. Again, I’m doing fine and I’m going to get through this.
