Mtv Host Ken Ober of Remote Control

Mtv’s Remote Control Host Ken Ober passes away. He was found dead this morning in his Santa Monica Home. No obvious cause of death as of now however, an autopsy will be performed.

According to Ober’s rep Lee Kernis, the cause of death is unknown, but friends of the former ‘Remote Control‘ star say he complained Saturday of having flu-like symptoms and headaches. Ober passed away at the age of 52.

Tila Tequila wrote: “A year ago when the country was in the process of electing our next president there was an unmistakable electricity in the air that said something big was about to happen. People were excited, animated, talkative, emotional. We were all sporting our “Obama, Yes We Can!’ t-shirts, buttons and educating ourselves on the political process. Clearly we all wanted to play a big part in that magical moment when our collective labor would usher in a new America.  I remember it well.

Now, as we are entering a new year I have felt a different shift occurring and it concerns me.   America has gone silent.  As with every honeymoon, the flames were sure to die down a bit. The buttons began to come off our coats and our focus settled more into the day to day activities that make up our lives. Understandable, yes but acceptable – no.  Not when we still have so much at stake.

Remember when Hillary Clinton said it takes a village? Well, to get the changes we need for America, it takes a country..a country of people who care enough to stay involved in politics.  We have abandoned the President when he needs us the most.  Sure, we still sit riveted our televisions when there President Obama gives a speech and smile when we see him in the newspaper crusading for one of our causes but we do so in silence. But we have left our President to fight our battles alone. You are probably thinking that this isnt true because in your heart, Obama reigns supreme.  I know that you support your President but ask you to do so ACTIVELY.

For example,  if you care about healthcare, and I know that you do because you showed up at the polls in record numbers to prove that you do, then talk to everyone you know about it, speak to your relatives, your doctors, your insurance company, etc. just to keep the focus alive!  Vow to support the candidates who support HEALTH CARE FOR ALL – Public Option at least, help to the inner cities, end to nuclear proliferation, and an end global warming and support GREEN technology investment that will make the world and our country a cleaner and safer place.

Get involved!

If you care about the environment then take shorter showers, reccyle your bottles and plastic, bring your own grocery bags to the market, etc.  If you care about global warming make your next car a Prius. If you care about the welfare of animals become vegetarian.

If you care about Gay Rights, don’t stand by when you hear the word, “f*ggot”
being yelled at someone, or say nothing when two people of the same sex walk hand and hand only to be ridiculed behind their backs.  When a bill that
matters to you comes up before Congress write letters, demand the change you want and threaten to never vote for that Congressperson again if they don’t follow through on their promises.

When peoples human rights are being violated, get a ticket to Washington and march for your beliefs.

Write letters to the Editor of your favorite newspapers and magazines about issues that are important to the you and the President you elected.  Be vocal at school, work, on the street, everywhere there’s an ear that is available to
you.

THAT’S how you support your President.

THAT’S how you support America.

THAT’S how you support yourself, your family and the environment and all of
its inhabitants.

And THAT’S the way it is.

We just found out that Kanye’s ridiculous antics were witnessed by President Obama. According to Huffington post: “During a CNBC interview on Monday, President Obama called hip-hop artist Kanye West a “jackass” over his behavior at the MTV Video Music Awards. (Watch video of Kanye at the VMAs here.)

Obama’s colorful remark was actually made in an off-the-record portion of the interview that was tweeted — and then deleted — by ABC News reporter Terry Moran.

“Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a ‘jackass’ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential,” Moranwrote.

Politico’s Michael Calderone has ABC’s statement apologizing for Moran’s journalistic breach.”

After years of Former Destiny Child’s members blasting Bey for being selfish, all about herself and so on…they can’t say that anymore! Just when you thought:”I’m so sick of Beyonce” she goes and does one of the most selfless acts ever! Beyonce was woman, a giver, an icon last night at the VMA’s not because she performed well or won a VMA but because she did something GOD would have want all of us to do – Walk in his spirit and show compassion for others. She was truly inspirational when she took her glory and gave it to the 19 year old Taylor Swift who earlier that evening won a Moon Man VMA Award and was abruptly bombarded by Kanye West a man old enough to be her dad treated her so poorly because of his own demons and misery; it left her in shock without a chance to say her thanks.

Thanks to Beyonce’ when she won her award she said: ” I remember being 19 years old with Destiny’s Child on this stage it was the biggest moment of my life, that’s why I think Taylor should have her moment!” Awesome..just simply AWESOME….I am a renewed fan of Beyonce’s.

Tila Tequila choked by Boyfriend Chargers Star Linebabcker Shawne Merriman

As reported: “San Diego Chargers star outside linebacker Shawne Merriman was arrested Sunday and accused of choking and restraining his girlfriend, reality TV star Tila Tequila, as she tried to leave his suburban home.

Tequila, 27, signed a citizen’s arrest warrant, charging Merriman with battery and false imprisonment, San Diego County Sheriff’s Lt. Gary Steadman said.

Deputies responded about 3:45 a.m. to Merriman’s house in Poway, north of San Diego, after a woman called to say she was choked by the player and thrown to the ground when she tried to leave, Sheriff’s Department spokesman Jan Caldwell said at a news conference.

Merriman, 25, was taken into custody and booked into the central jail at about 8:30 a.m. He was released shortly after 11 a.m. Caldwell said she didn’t know if he posted bail or was released on his own recognizance.

Tequila was taken to a hospital. Her condition was not immediately available.

Tequila, whose real name is Tila Nguyen, is best known for “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila,” which ran for two seasons on MTV. The bisexual dating show featured men and women vying for Tequila’s affections. She has also modeled for Playboy and other men’s magazines.

Scott E. Leemon, an attorney for Tequila, said in a statement that neither she nor her representatives would comment publicly on the incident.

Merriman’s agent, Tom Condon, said he hadn’t heard about the arrest when contacted by The Associated Press.

Merriman was the 12th overall pick out of the University of Maryland in the 2005 draft, and had 39 1/2 sacks in his first three seasons. The three-time Pro Bowl selection was getting back into shape after missing nearly all of last season following knee surgery.

The Chargers, picked by some as Super Bowl favorites, open the regular season a week from Monday night at Oakland. Players had been off since after Friday night’s exhibition finale against San Francisco. They are due back at practice on Monday.

“It’s disappointing to hear about the issue involving Shawne Merriman,” Chargers general manager A.J. Smith said in statement. “We’ll continue to monitor the situation and let the legal process run its course.”

Smith didn’t return a call seeking further comment.

Smith often speaks of signing “character” players, yet the Chargers have had their share of embarrassing off-field problems in recent seasons.

In 2006, there were seven run-ins with the law by San Diego players, including linebacker Steve Foley’s shooting by an off-duty police officer who suspected him of drunken driving.

Merriman was suspended four games for testing positive for steroids in 2006, and linebacker Stephen Cooper was suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the 2008 season after testing positive for a banned stimulant.

Additionally, Smith reportedly has been unhappy with Merriman’s extracurricular activities. He has various business ventures and is enamored with the Los Angeles social scene. While on injured reserve last year he flew back and forth to Los Angeles once a week to appear on a football preview show.”

Rapper C-Murder sentenced to life in prison for Murder 2009

WOW, we’re shocked that C-Murder has been sentenced to life in prison. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility for parole. No appeals will be filed and the judge has denied a request for a new trial.

So it seems that we will not be seeing any more of C-Murder… Farewell and good luck!
